History

This school was founded on the premise of catering, and providing quality education to the whole vicinity of Sta. Rosa as well as its neighboring towns. For sixty years the school administration, faculty and staff have devoted excellent service in the field of education, so to speak the alumni and alumnae have shown competence, skills, and diversity in all fields of career and professions.

Holy Cross College (formerly Holy Cross Academy) - Sta Rosa, N.E. was founded in 1946 by the late Rt. Rev. Msgr. Fernando C. Lansangan, HP, as an answer to the general public’s repeated and urgent clamor for an institution that could provide their children with a secondary education in the town of Sta. Rosa.

Since then, HCC has gradually and continuously grown and expanded in size, enrollment and personnel. HCC is now a Catholic educational institution committed to producing community serving graduates through quality education provided by learned teachers, modern technology and relevant curriculum.

The Holy Cross College, Sta. Rosa in her sixty years of existence has been a legacy of the late Rt. Rev. Fr. Fernando C. Lansangan. Msgr. Lansangan was parish priest of St. Rose of Lima Parish and great and vulnerable founder of this prestigious learning institution. This school has always been the waving color of this town, in terms of turning out successful graduates far and wide the country as a whole.

Far and above academic excellence, the school has the vision and mission of providing holistic education to the student populace. They are molded and trained spiritually, psychologically, morally, socially and dynamically to be upright and worthy citizens of their respective community.

Much to the delight of the town people their sons and daughters graduate with flying colors, and bring home the bacon after their graduation, be it in the school campus or competing with other schools.

For the past twenty years the college department of Holy Cross College has continuously turned out successful graduates in the fields of Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. These successful graduates are now deployed here and abroad bringing home prestige and honor to their Alma Matter, the Holy Cross College.

Late in the year 2004 the New Age has prompted the School Administration under the able and highly competent leadership of our Lady Director and Dean of the College in the person of Dr. Raquel T. Sat. Ines to open new courses in answer to the call of the time

BSHRM (Hotel and Restaurant Management), BSIT (Information Technology) and Criminology. These courses offering has opened a new door to our youth-learners to venture into other lines of profession to meet the challenges of the fast changing world.
